I'm not ready to commit — can I still get an offer?

You do not have to sign any agreements or make any commitments to request an offer. After submitting a request, you can accept the offer and sell your home, you can list with an agent or you can decide not to sell at this time. It is completely up to you.

Is there a fee to request an offer?

There is no cost to request or receive an offer.

What if I already have an agent, but I haven’t listed my home?

If you’re working with an agent, you can still request an offer, or your agent can request an offer on your behalf. You should ask your agent for a professional valuation of what your home may sell for and how long it would take to complete the sale on the open market.

Can I participate if my home is listed for sale?

Yes. If you’re home is listed for sale your agent can request an offer from us.

Can I get offers on behalf of a family member?

In order to participate, you must be the owner of the home or have the legal right to represent the owner.

How do I request an offer for my home?

If you are located in the Greater Los Angeles Area, you simply enter your address and leave some comments about your home. When your home qualifies, We will visit the home to give you an offer or send it electronically.When you choose to accept NELA’s offer, we will conduct an in-home evaluation, and close the purchase of the property.

Can I negotiate my offer?

We strive to make offers at the highest value possible to sellers. There will be times when our valuations do not reflect missing or incorrect information. We will consider repricing the home if added or corrected information impacts the value of the home.

Do I need to include photos of my home?

Photos are not required, but they are strongly encouraged, as they help us provide a more accurate offer. We do not need professional photos, and you do not need to clean or prep your home — just snap a few photos with your smartphone.

How are my photos and contact information shared?

Your photos will only be viewed by NELA as we prepare our offer. We do not share your contact information. We respect your privacy.

What if I’m dissatisfied with the process of selling my home to NELA?

If you have any issues with the sale, you should reach out to your dedicated Seller Specialist who will help you find a resolution.

Who can I talk to if I have questions?

At NELA, we have a Seller Team that is focused on making sure NELA Offers is a great experience for sellers. Sellers using NELA Offers will have a dedicated Seller Specialist who will accompany them throughout the process, answer questions and ensure smooth progress toward closing.

If NELA buys my home, will I be able to close faster?

NELA’s first priority is providing sellers with a certain, controlled and convenient option to sell their home on their timeline. In general, you can close in as little as seven or as many days after the sale contract is signed.

How soon will I close once I accept an offer?

You will work with your Seller Specialist to determine the final closing date and other conditions, but you will have considerable flexibility to pick a date that works for you.
